Nucleotide sequence of an RNA polymerase binding site at an early T7 promoter.
Escherichia coli RNA polymerase (EC 2.7.7.6), bound in a tight complex at an early T7 promoter, protects 41 to 43 base pairs of DNA from digestion by DNase. I. The protected DNA...
Excess information at bacteriophage T7 genomic promoters detected by a random cloning technique
In our previous analysis of the information at binding sites on nucleic acids, we found that most of the sites examined contain the amount of information expected from their fre...
Revised transcription map of the late region of bacteriophage T7 DNA
The genes in the late region of the bacteriophage T7 genome are transcribed by a phage-specified RNA polymerase in two temporal classes (II and III). Through the use of an agaro...
Four T7 RNA polymerase promoters contain an identical 23 bp sequence
The DNA sequences of four promoters for the bacteriophage-specified T7 RNA polymerase have been determined. All four regions contain an identical 23 bp sequence 5' pTAATACGACTCA...
Compilation and analysis ofEscherichia colipromoter DNA sequences
The DNA sequence of 168 promoter regions (-50 to +10) for Escherichia coli RNA polymerase were compiled. The complete listing was divided into two groups depending upon whether ...
