Abstract
The goal of primary prevention of psychiatric disorder is a laudatory one, which unfortunately can not be realized in the absence of scientific knowledge about etiology. This paper focuses on an emergent strategy for acquiring such knowledge: the study of children who are vulnerable to the development of psychopathology in adulthood.
