Abstract
<title>Abstract</title> Stigmergy is an alternative to direct communication if unavailable. We evaluate whether group formation tasks are possible for swarm robots using stigmergic communication. Our aim is to control the size of a group. We show this is possible in experiments using real robots. The group size can be maintained for a significant time.
