Abstract

Radiometric dating methods are used to study significant events in the evolution of the solar system. Emphasis is placed on the formational era, beginning approximately 4.7 billion years ago and lasting 250 million years. The formation of planetesimals which took place at this time is discussed. 141 references. (BJG)
