Abstract

A review on dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs). Some brief notes on solar energy in general and DSC in particular are given, followed by a discussion of the operational principles of DSC (energetics and kinetics). Then, the development of material components and some specific exptl. techniques to characterize DSC are described. The current status of module development is also discussed, and finally a brief future outlook is given.
